They tell me down here that they are liking this beginning of winter and the cooler temperatures. Yes the 65 degree mornings are nice but, man, it quickly gets up to 95. This Colorado lad has to rethink this. Since, I am somewhat intelligent, and please don’t listen to anyone who says otherwise, I try and get my walk in before 10:00 am. In doing so those shadows I discover are spectacular. So, again it was shadows I was seeing this morning.

You’ve got to have sunshine for shadows, and both of those are good things. The downside of the sun can be heat, but soon enough you’ll be wishing for the heat, I’m afraid! 🙂

I was just thinking about that today, Tom, as I’ll heading back next Saturday and know they’ve had freezing nights and snow in the high country. In a way I’m ready for the cooler nights.

I am not sure why but this photo reminds me of an old B&W movie poster, of a man and a long shadow.
On the temps – yep too hot for this Michigan guy also.

People have acclimated themselves just as we acclimated ourselves to the cooler temperatures. My parents feel cold when it’s around 65 degrees now.
