What honest bloggers receive in return for their blogging is what every creative person hungers for—companionship, friendship, kindness, generosity, and words of blessed encouragement.
David J. Rogers
The above quote is from this blog post by a writer named David J. Rogers. Not sure how I found this post but I resonate with him. My reasons are the same: companionship, friendship, kindness, generosity, and words of blessed encouragement. I’ll probably keep it up.

Thank you, Monte. I’m glad you found my blog, and I’m glad that I’ve found yours.

This blogging community just keeps growing.

I started my blog because I found that writing was a way to clarify my own thoughts – about virtually anything that was on my mind. As a traveler and photographer those thoughts almost exclusively revolve around photography. Our small but sincere group provides me with welcome encouragement and feedback without the intrusion of so-called ‘social’ media.

So very true on this group. I look forward to those postings. I prefer it to just being all about photography.

I think about the evolution of how I am using my own over a lot of years. Like Tom mentions, it is mostly to try to flush out my own thoughts. As someone who journals a lot, I am sure you know that better than anyone. And I do like the little community that forms. When I go through my blog archives and comment history, I am simply amazed how long I have “known” some folks just through the blogosphere.

True. I’m also amazed at how many people hang around our blogs. I find many of my blog post start with my journaling.
