I know little about clouds but find enjoyment watching how they form and constantly transform. Some people see scenes in them, a person, an angel or an animal. I see them as a gift. I see them as art. I see them as mystery. I spend time with them. Sadly, some people simply never see them.

Nicely stated Monte. Clouds give shape to a landscape, an ephemeral part for sure but their transient nature is what makes a landscape unique.

And, it’s that transient nature that I love.

I’m with you, Monte. I enjoy them immensely and ‘welcome’ them into my pictures! 🙂 I took a flight ground school many years ago and learned a lot about clouds, the forces within, etc; however, that knowledge only increased my appreciation of them, particularly thunder clouds … they are so powerful!

Thanks, Paul! It really would not take much effort to learn more about them. 🙂

I admire your wide open views, perfect for cloud photographs like this one. Seems whenever I see a nicely lit cloud, it has a bunch of suburban clutter in the way.

I am blessed to be able to drive a short distance to enjoy these scenes. And, because of that ease, I take advantage of it.
