Well, I chose plan B and got a hotel in Cortez, Colorado. About mid morning the clouds rolled in and by the time I got to Pagosa Springs it was a mix of rain and snow. So far I’ve driven through rain, sleet, hail and snow. Plan A was to camp and plan B was a hotel, thus the decision for plan B. Snow plows were out on Wolf Creek Pass while only light snow and rain on Konosha Pass, Red Hill Pass and Trout Creek Pass. Been and up and down day! It has been a beautiful and scenic drive. I’m expecting the same tomorrow as I head to Phoenix.
I found this small one room house in the South Park area. Sure has a big yard!

I wondered if you were motorcycling…I sure hope not, looking at your photos! Enjoy.

No motorcycling. I sold the bike and no longer ride. If money was there I’d probably have one. Had a long day yesterday but saw some gorgeous country.

Not the scene I was expecting from your journey here in the first part of April, Monte!

Not what I had expected but I know that we can get winter snow into April, even May. I woke up yesterday morning with about 3 inches on my car. It was a wet and beautiful.

Those are two rather contrasting photos Monte. Wishing you a great trip with nice weather 🙂
Looking at the second photo I can’t help wonder what it would be like to live in that little house.

I think the same thing, Cedric. I look at places like this and wonder in my mind about what it would be like to live in such a place or about the people who have, or did, lived there. Now that I’m through the first two days of snow and rain it is beautiful here in Phoenix. Probably leave tomorrow morning.
