Here is my attempt at the “super moon” from last night. It is just rising above the small country town of Watkins, Colorado.

Nice work, Monte. My own attempt crashed in excessive blur and meandering clouds.

I just about missed it as I was shooting the sunset behind me. I had change lenses quickly to get the few I did get.

Beautiful shot, Monte. This was a missed opportunity for me, so it’s especially nice to see a shot like this.

I’ve since played more with the image and reduced the blue cast. The whole evening was awesome and I saw this glorious moon then storm with thunder and lightening.

I love the warm colors and detail in the moon against the deep blue just before dark!

Cloudy and overcast here. I’m glad someone got a shot of it. This is a nice one. Monte.

All hell broke loose about 2 hours later. Awesome lightening and thunder then plenty of rain with some hail. We need the moisture.
