Just got back yesterday from Phoenix visiting my parents for about 3 days. I ran around barefoot and in a t-shirt while my parents were in jackets and long pants. Took this image as we drove to DQ for a blizzard. It wasn’t that cold for them. 🙂

I remember how one shifted one’s ability to stand cold when you lived there. Yikes!

I’ve been known to visit a DQ in January. 🙂

It’s never too cold for a Blizzard!
Nice portrait, and the lens flare is an interesting touch.
Monte Stevens
Yes, I agree. As for the flare it may just be a dirty lens. 🙂

After living in Europe and US for 4 years, when we finally returned home, we spent the first winter in shorts and t-shirts. By the following year we were back to dressing like everyone else, jeans and sweaters.
I like your portrait. There’s a wonderful warmth to it.

I expect I’d start to change as I grew accustom to the climate and the culture. And, as we age the colder weather does become more difficult to handle.

That’s pretty funny. It’s just the way that it is. In Mexico, I was out walking the streets in shorts and t-shirts, while the locals were all bundled up, heads down like it was actually cold or something. 😀 Nice portrait of your dad – on the way to DQ. Does he ever get tired of you pointing the camera at him? 😛

He has not said anything yet but my sisters and mom have. When I picked up my granddaughter from school this afternoon there was a young lady walking out of school with no shoes or socks. She was the same way yesterday. Now that’s too cold for me.

Well, I have to admit my cravings for ice cream tend to go down in the winter – but it certainly doesn’t last all winter! You need something to cure those winter time blues, and Scotch doesn’t always do it. 🙂

I use to indulge, sometimes too much, in the Single Malt Scotch before bedtime. Those days are over as well as the money spent on them. I always wanted the top shelf stuff. 🙂
