I had no clue what this leaf is but my wise and awesome sister, Sheree, actually both my sisters are wise and awesome, suggested it was an ash leaf. After a bit of prodding around on the internet, I think she is right again. 🙂 Anyway, staying with my theme of studying nature I want to emphasize the fine detail nature creates. A close look shows the intricate design in each of it’s creation, each with it’s own purpose. The details abound in nature.

Monte, I’m really bad at identifying plants…your sister(s) don’t do plant identifying on the side for bloggers do they? 😉

Well, now that we’ve looked at it some more, it could very well be a raspberry leaf. The problem being my inaptitude in knowing what the rest of the plant looked like. The area I was walking along was mostly brush with a few trees on the opposite side of the stream. No matter it’s pretty cool to me.

I love the crispness of the detail in the leaves, Monte. Your sister has an extraordinary talent.

She surprises everyone. When I came home from my trip yesterday afternoon she had expanded her front porch, making a rounded porch with a brick retaining wall and flagstone. She had a bruised thumb and some tired and sore muscles. A week ago she took a 70 pound jack hammer to the 20 foot sidewalk. She’s awesome!
