I made a trip over to the Colorado State University Experimental Flower Garden to see what shape the flowers were in. Needless to say the season is changing so most of the petals are turning brown along the edges. But that’s not gonna stop a photographer with a camera in their hand. I pulled out the 50mm f1.4 and crawl around for 30 minutes.
This is called a Mongolian Bell Clematis. I would never have guessed that but once I saw the sign I could see the resemblance to the Clematis family. These were also quite small.
These are some daisies that were being back lit by the setting sun. After the sun went down it sure did feel like Fall. And, of course I got my pants dirty, again. It began raining yesterday evening and is still raining this morning. I put on a crock pot of vegetable soup so with the sound and smell the of rain along with the aroma of the soup it feels like Fall.

This is a great time of year for the late flowers which you proved here. Especially with the daisies. Great backlight!

The color has a dark brown look and that’s the way it came out. Thanks, Ken.

Nicely done Monte. I especially like the light on the daisies.

It was interesting how I came up with this image. There were a couple of ladies wandering in the garden area near me and apologizing when they thought they were in my way. As they came around one corner I just moved towards this area and saw the sun popping in between a couple of trees. I just placed my elbows on this brick wall and took a half dozen shots. I like it when that happens. I moved a couple of steps and the image appeared.
