You have to understand that it is your attempt to get special experiences from life that makes you miss the actual experience of life.

A quiet stillness greets us this morning after several days of almost constant wind. Sunshine brightens the world around me. It’s also 15 degrees. And, I do believe the blue sky is bluer today. Welcome the new day and don’t miss the experience of life. Now headed to Old Town and meet a friend for coffee. Have a great day!

Wow, isn’t that truth in a nutshell? We all know a number of people who are constantly chasing some kind of aspirational goal, while missing out on the smaller, more ordinary experiences which, taken as a whole, can be far more rewarding and satisfying than those “special” experiences. Excellent quote!
We got home this afternoon to green trees, green grass and 80 degrees. Oh, and green pollen!

Glad you’re home and assume you’re preparing for the next great adventure. I love how you two are enjoying the retirement time.
I’ve seen where people would prefer looking at an image of a scene rather than experience the scene itself. So much of our technology places those images in front of us, constantly. In some cases it’s much easier to see them virtually than actually being there. Looking forward to seeing your images.

How often do we see someone take a photo of a scene then look at their phone to see what it looks like, instead of simply looking at the scene? Amazing!
Believe it or not, we have no definite travel plans through the end of the year! Taking things as they come, I suppose.
Interestingly, we met an entertainer from Fort Collins who sometimes plays at Ace Gillette’s. He said his contract on the ship ends in early July, and if he ends up with a gig it would give us a second reason to head west! Time will tell. You just might see us.
