Last week I visited the Bean Cycle in Old Town. As I’ve mentioned before I don’t go down there much due to the pandemic and my budget can’t afford a mocha latte everyday. But, sometimes you just have to venture out. In the background is Penny, one of the owners and who made my drink. I like to go upstairs where I can find a bit more quiet and a soft cozy chair. She filled it to the brim with her latte art which makes it difficult to carry up stairs without spilling but I’m getting better at it.

That’s a nice looking drink in a beautiful mug and saucer! I’ve always admired servers who can carry a full drink without spilling. It takes a lot of practice!

When she fills like this I sometimes take a sip before carrying it. I’ve also sipped the spill inside the saucer. 😀

Reminds me of my days as a waiter. Best job I ever had. Used to carry up to five plates at a time but drinks were always the most difficult. Took me a long time before I could carry a tray full of drinks without any spills 🙂 Good times.

You made me laugh, my friend. I can see and hear you cursing as one of them goes over. 🙂 Glad to know you enjoyed it. I have friends who are still working as waiters and waitresses after 20 years.

Lol, that would be my problem also. Practice makes perfect, so they say.

Yes, practicing at life.

That’s one pretty full cup, and I am sure for taste and cost, not worth spilling any. 🙂

Actually, they have raised their prices since the pandemic so it’s even pricier. As I mentioned earlier I have been know to sip the spills out of the saucer. 🙂
