There are no unsacred places; there are only sacred places and desecrated places.

Groggily awake at 4:00 am. After quiet time and a bowl of hot Irish Oats with blueberries I bundled up and headed to Pineridge Natural Area to catch the predawn colors. Nothing like an 18 degree morning to fully wake up. I was not disappointed as Mother Nature gifted me with wonderful colors. I read somewhere that a beautiful red sunrise or sunset must have clouds, just as our life does.
They say it will be windy and warm today. The strongest winds are expected in the foothills where a High Wind Warning is in effect for wind gusts up to 80 mph. Hang on to your hat! Snow tomorrow.

Gorgeous sunrise colors! If I see your hat flying by, I’ll try to catch it for you. 🙂

That’s so kind of you, looking out for me!!! 😂 I’ll holler at you if I lose it.

I told Kathy just this morning that I need to get up and out to the nearby boat launch for sunrise over the lake. The sun is in the best position now. We had beautiful clouds this morning but I didn’t get out of bed until after the sun came up! Lazy bones, I am! 🙂

Telling myself and doing it are two different things. Warm bed, heavy covers and “I don’t wanna” attitude will cause me to miss a few shots and have. When I saw it was 18 degrees instead of 10 I figured I could get motivated to go. The warm Irish Oats helped. Or maybe it was the blueberries. I did stop at Starry Night on the way home for a mocha latte and some journaling. That help also!

Sometimes getting up early has its rewards!! Quite beautiful, and I like the reflections on the bottom.
