Have been playing with Silver Efex Pro. So far I’m liking it but I do have a question for anyone familiar with this Lightroom plugin. I cannot get Lightroom to see the modified TIFF file unless I close out Lightroom and bring it back up.

Monte, I’ve used Silver Efex Pro for several years and I really like it. However, I almost always use the Photoshop Plug-in version of SEP so I’ve never experienced the issue you mentioned. Sorry, no suggestions for a fix.

Thanks, Earl. After editing the file and returning back to Lightroom it does show I have a stack image. However, after unstacking I still do not see the image. Do you know how to check for updates for SEP? I’m having trouble finding that.

I’ve been using Perfect Photo Suite 7, Topaz (not as much, but sometimes) and Photomatix for HDR processing and I’ve experienced the same behavior from all three. Not every time, but often enough that it can be frustrating. I’ve found that sometimes if you navigate away from the folder the image is in and then return, it’ll be there. At other times, I have to do what you describe, shut it down, bring it up. And then there are times when there’s a delay and all of a sudden the image pops in and I’m good. I think we’re dealing with a quirk in Lightroom and not really with the plug-in…

I’ve checked on Lightroom and found a place to uncheck stacking. It did not seem to help. Today they its working. It could be how I’m looking at the images: images just imported or in collections or whatever.
