Although we have been made to believe that if we let go we will end up with nothing, life itself reveals again and again the opposite: that letting go is the path to real freedom.

It’s ironic, isn’t it, that something that sounds like it would require the least effort, “letting go,” is one of the harder things to do. But I don’t believe letting go means doing nothing. I believe “letting go” is about not letting things, whether they be real-physical or mental-emotional, have control of your life. It’s about accepting who you are, forgiving your failures, celebrating your successes, and being open to a new tomorrow. And, that takes daily effort, at least for me!
Haha, ok, I hear the Dalai Lama calling me back. Have a good weekend, Monte! 🙂

I think I heard the Dali say, “Well said, Earl” i believe you also said that with conviction and from experience. It does require the daily practice. Sometimes it’s more about the need to release the grip we have on things before we can fully let go. I think about all the letting go you and Bonnie did when you hit the road in your RV a few years ago. Impressive, in my book! Have a super Awesome weekend!

“The real glory of meditation lies not in any method but in its continual living experience of presence, in its bliss, clarity, peace, and, most important of all, complete absence of grasping.” Sugyal Rinpoche
