Thanks, Brooks. Quieting the chatter of my mind is essential for me in listening. Yet, I am continuously faced with the noise of my thoughts. Quiet is not the elimination of sound but not allowing the thoughts to pull me into a commentary in my head and rake me from living in the present. And, it is all about practice.
