Melissa

Melissa

Look at those eyes! I met the lovely Melissa and her daughter, Riley, for coffee yesterday. Riley is visiting for he holidays so  I needed to see her. I met this mother and daughter team a couple of years ago just after I moved out here. We’ve done hikes and dinners and taken a few photos together. I’ve posted image of Melissa before, like this one and this one. Later on we headed for lunch and proceeded to gorge ourselves with Chinese food, it was Riley’s choice so her fault. It’s always good for a single old man to have two beautiful young ladies sitting at the same table with him. 🙂

Update on my mother: Surgery went well, routine as the doctors called it. She will spend a couple days in ICU and may go home before the weekend is over. Now comes the slow process of healing. We hope she has the energy and strength to work through a smooth recovery.

Retired. Having fun with photography. Journal daily. Meditate daily. Learning haiku/poetry. Have a love for fountain pens.

My mothers doing good. Surgery was “routine.” She is a bit groggy this morning but they still had her up and walking today. My sister says she has a good sense of humor today (drugs maybe?). Hope to talk to her tonight.

Beautiful eyes indeed, but I also admired the Buns photo. A mention of Chinese Food has made me hungry. 🙂

Great news about you mother…wishing her a speedy recovery!

A very Happy New Year’s wish for you!

Yep, I like that Buns image. I never tried the restaurant but don’t really need to try. Melissa will be glad to know you like that image also.

Glad to hear your mother is going to be OK. Your photographs of Melissa are excellent. You have captured her with a natural, down-to-earth expression. May you make many more of her for a long time to come.
