Morning Reflections

“The health of the eye seems to demand a horizon. We are never tired, so long as we can see far enough.”

Ralph Waldo Emerson, Nature

I had to smile this morning with the reflections off Dixon Reservoir at Pineridge Natural Area. And, I must say I love that inviting distant horizon. I wonder just how far I can see from this vantage point. Such a quiet morning to enjoy on this December day. They say snow is on its way later Monday and into Tuesday. Then have colder days later into the week. I hope you have a wonderful Sunday!

Retired. Having fun with photography. Journal daily. Meditate daily. Learning haiku/poetry. Have a love for fountain pens.

Awesome morning sky! The ‘eye demands a horizon’ reminded me of my first flight in a small, private aircraft. We were heading for the Bahamas and the was a brief moment when the sky and the sea merged. It was very disconcerting; luckily the islands soon appeared in the distance.

Thanks, Faye! And, this morning’s sunrise was even more magnificent but I did not make it out as I watched it from my bedroom window. Another time. We are expecting snow later today and into tomorrow morning which is why the sky was so red. Hope you have a great day!
