Morning Walks

Morning Walk

I only know how to approach a place by walking. For what does a street photographer do but walk and watch and wait and talk, and then watch and wait some more, trying to remain confident that the unexpected, the unknown, or the secret heart of the known awaits just around the corner. – Alex Webb

Morning walks are good exercise for us, plus they get us out of our four walls. We then have the opportunity to see, smell, feel, hear the natural world we really live in. Each time I put my belt on I’m reminded of the need to get there. Each time I feel like something is amiss in my life, I need to be out there. Morning walks are good.

Retired. Having fun with photography. Journal daily. Meditate daily. Learning haiku/poetry. Have a love for fountain pens.

Morning walks can also make your arms longer….oh, wait, that might be the two dogs I usually have tugging at their leases each morning. 😉

    Lovely photo!

    Have a good weekend, Monte.

And, yes you are a faithful morning walker, as is Hobbs. Evening walks work also but those mornings can have the stillness and the morning birds song. For you there are those regulars you meet along your route. Have a super weekend, Paul.

Only one smart aleck quibble from me: walks are good any time of day. By the way, a photo like this one certainly adds to the pleasure of a walk.

You are right, Anita. I’ve found walks in a light drizzle to be refreshing and nothing like a trek through 4-5 inches of snow. Hope you and the Husband have a super weekend!
