A winter snow storm came through Wednesday morning and moved out by noon on Thursday. It has brought some cold temperatures and 6-8 inches of snow. It’s 7:30 am and my weather app and car both say -9 degrees. Have not been too interested in going out so I played with some images. This image was taken a few years ago and converted in Silver EFEX Pro using one of their presets. Here is the color version,

Nicely done on the photo, Monte — it works very well in B&W. Try and stay warm…we’re one day closer to Spring. 😉

Doing my best. Awoke to frozen pipes coming into the building. Suppose to have it repaired by end of day. No water in mean time.

With raw material like that I’d stay indoors, too! The color version is very nice, but the b&w conversion adds a good bit of drama and mystery. I’m watching the sky here get grayer and darker and am looking forward to the escape to home this afternoon. it’s looking like I’ll have some time for working on photos this weekend – 4-8 inches of snow and lows in the single digits. Feels like Colorado!

Thanks, Tom. I like it also in black and white. As for the snow and cold we wanted to share some with you. 🙂

Hard to say if I could pick one over the other. The color certainly emphasizes the great sky, but the B&W has the shapes on the horizon drawing your eye.

They both work as there is not right or wrong. Each have their attraction. Thanks for leaving your comments as I always love to have them.
