Even though it really does not matter, I wish I could remember where I took this image. The meta date lets me know I took this image in 2005. I also do not remember what compelled me to take this image. Something within me was asking to press the shutter. I think what I saw was the back lighting of the scene and from the technical aspect I wanted to capture that. For me, the golden light brings out the warmth of that June morning. It has become one of my favorite images.

This is outstanding, Monte. It seems more of a photograph of a feeling, rather than a scene.

Thanks, Ken. For me this image just feels good.

Very nice, Monte. It reminds me of a breezy summer day.

And, it was just such a day, Paul. Thanks!

I enjoy knowing that others take pictures without being consciously aware of why they trip the shutter. Sometimes, a photo just speaks to us in a way that renders understanding irrelevant. This one certainly speaks to me.

Yes, I am one of those photographers who does not know what will show up on my hard drive, no matter what my intentions may be when I start out. The light the color may catch my eye and I press the shutter. 🙂
