Here’s another image from this past Saturdays scouting trip to the Pawnee Grasslands. I think there are lots of potentials in this area. One image I would like to see would be a sunrise. But, I also enjoy the peacefulness out there. Putting a sunrise shot in my bucket list for next week, unless I procrastinate again. 🙂

This is such a peaceful composition where you can see for miles (in every direction, I’m guessing) and not see another person. Or any signs that anyone (other than you) have been there. Peaceful.

I wish we could see more places like this. However, along the horizon is a massive wind turbine farm with hundreds of them. They are an eye sore for scenes but I do prefer them over gas wells and there are a few of those around on the grasslands. I wonder what it looked like before man started his attempt at changing the natural world. I would loved to have seen this country back then. But, this is a peaceful place, one for refreshing the soul.

Monte, I love the warm tones of this photo.

I always feel good when I’m at the right place at the right time. That’s what it’s about!

This looks like a great place Monte. I also Locke the warm light here. I will be looking for that sunrise.

I work a trip this coming weekend then I have a few days off. I’ve not been camping for quite some time and plan on making it out there for a day or two. I think this has a potential for some good sunrise images. We’ll see. Even if I don’t come back with one of those “keepers” I will have touch the earth again in a way many people never do. Probably get my pants dirty, too. 🙂
