Well, Emma said I was 37 minutes late for coffee this morning. I’ll not do that again!!! All kidding aside, I did sleep in late and arrived later than usual. And, her mocha tasted just just fine. I meet some friends at noon today and then been invited to a spring equinox celebration of Storytelling/Song/Poetry. I’ve never been to anything like this. I know three of the poets today so I will go see what it’s like.

As long as Emma doesn’t have your latte getting cold due to your late arrival, I wouldn’t typically be concerned. But I would go out of my way to avoid a scolding from anyone, especially a trusted barista!
I’ll be interested in your recount of your experiences with your storytelling gathering. Although that I would expect that, like a gathering of photographers, you will find respectful sharing, perhaps a little constructive commentary and a great deal of fun!

I walked in the coffee shop and apologized for being left. She then turned to see the time and let me know it was 37 minutes past 7:00 am. It’s nice to be missed.
The poetry readings were a lot of fun for me. Some of these poems moved me to tears and some brought laughter. There is something so different with having the poet read their poem versus me reading it. Will go again!
