What you see is real – but only on the particular level to which you’ve developed your sense of seeing. You can expand your reality by developing new ways of perceiving. – Wynn Bullock
Absolutely! The more often I carry my camera with me and the slower my walk, the broader are my ways of perceiving this world. It seems I see much better, as if I’ve been given a new pair of glasses.

Very nice. Hope you are having a good week.

Yes, it has been a good week. In Kansas City this evening where it is cold. Went out with the crew for BBQ and full and happy. Hope you are also having a good week.

A little different tones and it could almost be mistaken for sand. Nice side lighting.
Monte Stevens
Your are so right, Earl, it could pass for drifting sand. Your observation is an example of how wide we do see things. This was taken on a early in the morning where waiting a half hour and the colors would be much warmer.

When I was a skier, sights such as this would bring tears of joy to my eyes.
Monte Stevens
Thanks, Steve. Tears are good for the soul, both in sadness and joy.

I was just admiring some ice this morning in the much the same way. Very nice!
Monte Stevens
We see it all the time now. 🙂

Your observation of improved vision hits home with me. I have always admired nature and needed to regularly soak in its beauty. But, since I began to carry a camera on a somewhat regular basis, it seems that my vision is keener. Your photgraph succeeds beautifully in illustrating you thoughts.
Monte Stevens
I like the word you’ve chosen, “keener.” And, I’m glad you feel as I do. I am so tempted to buy one of those small point and shoot pocket cameras just so I would always have a camera with me. Thanks again for stopping by! I so enjoy your visits!

It is beautiful seeing the light and shadow on the snow like this. I have yet to see snow this year. It’s so beautiful.
Monte Stevens
Along with the snow comes the cold and wet. Winter scenes are awesome and the quiet of winter is even better. But as I get older I have harder time staying in the cold. I find the chili soup, hot chocolate and fireplace more appealing.

Are you sure you weren’t above the cloud ceiling when you shot this? 🙂
Monte Stevens
Wow, It sure does give that feeling. That’s the power of everyones vision and perspective. I love it. Mark!

Thanks, Laurens and glad you stopped by. I will make a visit to your site, just to see what you have. 🙂
