On Tuesday I posted a photo from Reservoir Ridge Natural Area that looked southwest. I mentioned that behind me was Claymore Lake. This is an image of Claymore Lake taken just after the other image as the sun gave us this starburst kiss before dropping behind the horizon and offering the stars to shine on us. The beauty found here, without the hand of man disrupting, is why I come here. Nature lures me here by speaking to a place within me.

Beautiful sunset! Is this lake open to fishing or swimming?
Monte Stevens
Fishing yes. The most popular species caught here are Brown trout, Largemouth bass, and Skamania trout. However, it is private. Do not know about swimming.

You’re becoming extremely good at sunset and sunrise photos, Monte. This seems a peaceful scene conducive to getting lost in one’s own headspace.
How have the temperatures been there?

Thanks, Earl! Yes, I seem to spend a lot of time watching sunrises and sunsets, both favorite times of the day. These natural areas are wonderful to experience and near me.
I just checked the weather app a few minutes ago and it told me we are at 99 degrees but feels like 95. They are wrong!
