“Let yourself be silently drawn by the stronger pull of what you really love.”
Rumi
The cold wind is blowing right through my coat causing goosebumps and chills. I’m shaking. But nature is sharing its light show as the setting sun shines on the foreground in contrast to the dark and ominous clouds on the eastern horizon. Something pulls me to stay and take it all in. It can’t be explained but it feels good inside my soul to be outside the noisy city. I’m cold.

I love these types of scenes, even if they do cause a bit of shivering whilst taking the photo. Beautiful light!

Nothing wrong with some shivering or sweating. Discomfort is something we all face in life. It’s only a problem when self induced discomfort and not taking steps to change the situation causing it.

I love this type of light also. It seems to always happen when I am out in the car driving around and not when I am out photographing. That part I hate.

Timing is part of the equation in our passion for photography. I also have a few scenes imprinted in my memory and not stored on a hard drive.

This actually looks very warm to me, Monte. At least there is no snow cover.

It was the chill in the wind that got to me. Today is even better!

I love this light, Monte. Great contrast between the blue and the gold! I hope your weekend is a good one. Or is every day a weekend now? 🙂
Monte Stevens
Yep, everyday is a weekend but I still have those chores to do. 🙂

That high contrast that comes from sunlit foregrounds against dark stormy clouds has to be my favourite kind of light. My daughter calls it spooky light and she doesn’t like it so much. Anyway, that’s a gorgeous scene Monte.

Spooky light says something to me. I will pull off to the side of the road and just watch it. There’s power in that kind of light.
