Sunrise at Arapaho Bend

A simple lifestyle is quite simply an act of solidarity with the way most people have lived since the beginnings of humanity.

Richard Rohr

It takes a lot of gumption this time of year to photograph sunrise scenes. because that sun comes up too early. So, I again missed this morning’s sunrise. I realize the powers that be who decided daylight savings was a good idea were not photographers. Anyway here is a sunrise from May of 2020 at Arapaho Bend Natural Area.

Retired. Having fun with photography. Journal daily. Meditate daily. Learning haiku/poetry. Have a love for fountain pens.

I keep trying to comment and get bounced out. Anyway, perhaps switch to sunsets for a while. This is a spectacular sunrise shot though.

Not sure why you had issues. Let me know if it continues. I recieved a notification that WordPress updated sometime during the night. If you were trying to comment while it was updating that could have caused glitches. We have a steady falling this morning and see similar weather over the next several days.

I concur with your sentiment. Sunrise after 7am is much more civilized!

Regarding Faye’s comment, I find that I get an “Unacceptable” message when I try to post a comment. But I turn my VPN off it goes right through. Strange but manageable!

    Message I get:
    Not Acceptable!

Beautiful sunrise shot Monte. I tend to agree, the time change really stinks. Every year it seems to make headlines of finally dismantling it and it never happens.

One of the reasons I don’t read headlines. Yet it is what it is. On some mornings I can get up in time to go catch ths sunrise. On other mornings I’m late getting there. And on some mornings I call it sleeping in. Hope you are enjoying your weekend.
