I think nature has it’s purpose in these fires but I sure do feel for all the home owners who have or will lose their homes. And, the cost to the taxpayers is going to be felt also. Even the smoke clouds make for some good images.
I imagine there will be quite a few unique sunsets/rises with the smoke around. I haven’t kept up with the news except in generalities, did they determine what the start was?
The fire was started by lightening on June 9th. This mornings sunrise was gorgeous as I drove to the airport. I would loved to have been out there with my gear. Unfortunately this fire may burn for a long time so there will be more opportunities.

Monte, I’m afraid it’s going to be a long, hot and dry summer for many of us…but I’m praying the fire areas get the first rain. Have a good weekend.

Yes, it is. Temperature reach 98 degrees today and the winds picked up this afternoon which has fed the fire.

Not much good comes out of the fires but it does add something to the sunsets.

Nothing like a little smoke in the air to make a sunset great.

It was also nice to just be out there listening to the birds and not having to smell the smoke.
