Had this fat squirrel approach me at the bus stop asking for a bite of the donut I was eating. Yeah, I gave them a bite. They would have taken more.

Watching Closely
As I arrive at Mugs coffee house there are about six large trees along the sidewalk. Some of the college students who live along here will put food out for the squirrels. I have seen as many as 4 and 5 chasing each other around the trees making it fun to watch. Needless to say they are more than comfortable with humans and will come quite close. This one paused long enough to make sure I kept my distance and did not cross the line they had drawn.

Peace In the World
I’ve been a little lax in posting images. I’m still shooting but have just not had any desire to upload images or write. I have increased the number of galleries and number of images on this website. If you’ve got a few minutes to “waste”, feel free to head over there and give me any feedback. After uploading this image I wished I’d shot in color, it’s pretty busy.

Peek-a-boo
He (she) is making sure I do not take any of the corn someone has left at the base of this tree.

Bison
This is from 2003 and a trip made to Yellowstone National Park. Lamar Valley, one of my favorite places in the park.

Waiting
I’ve watched this dog sit patiently as the owner stops in to get her coffee. Well this morning I approached the owner and asked if I could take a photo of her patient dog.it seems this dog waits in almost this same position each morning. The head is supported on the window with little movement while the eyes scan from side to side. No barking. It’s like there is a trust and belief she will return very shortly. So, I’ll just wait. 🙂

Saturday Morning
Thought I would post a fun image. They are forecasting rain this afternoon turning to snow during the night. Enjoy the weekend.

Eye Contact
Ever wonder what an animal is thinking as they make eye contact and stare? In this case I assume he is not thinking about the political debates, his taxes, his 401k, or who won the Super-bowl. His focus is on the world around him, which includes us. This world is where he finds shelter and food, the necessities of sustaining life. He is part of nature. He stares at me trying to determine if I’m a predator or abserver, a danger or not. However, I do smile as it doesn’t look like he’s that worried about eating. 🙂
