This is along Spring Creek Trail taken on my ride this morning. Just behind these trees is a 8 story Hilton Hotel as well as scattered student housing for Colorado State University and a few residential homes. This part of the bicycle path is in an open area which I hope they keep that way. You can also see some of the colors changing, otherwise we are still green. This scene caught my interest because of the simple cloud against that blue sky and the trees. May you have a wonderful weekend!

A Pair of Busy Bees
As Thoreau so well knew, and so painstakingly tried to show us, what a man most needs is not a knowledge of how to get more, but a knowledge of the most he can do without, and of how to get along without it.
Wendell BerryI am learning that and how to simplify! I just don’t need all the stuff I have.

The morning’s blue sky and clouds
I want to believe that the imperfections are nothing—that the light is everything — that it is more than the sum of each flawed blossom rising and fading. And I do.

I’m home
I got home at 2pm yesterday from the Mary Oliver retreat. It was a beautiful place to be this time of the year. The participants were beautiful people too. The quiet was just what I needed. The poetry was just what I needed. The food was just what I needed. It was all just what I needed. Even the good samaritan. I say that because my car broke down on my way up there about 7-9 miles from Drala Mountain Center. Some good Samaritan picked up Susan and I and took us to the center. On Saturday morning, I called and had a tow truck tow it into Dellenbach Subaru in Fort Collins. They will look at it today or tomorrow. It did not deter from the retreat. So my only transportation for the next few days is my red steed. Heck, maybe I’ll live the rest of my life without a car!
