Late afternoon light on this building at the edge of a field This past summer Tom and Kathy Dills from North Carolina visited and I was able to spend some time with them out in the field shooting both photos and the breeze. We made a couple trips to the mountains for the aspen tree colors. We also took photo opportunities in the afternoon and evening along the front range. This is from one those outings. I think we finished the evening off with Thai food, like any good photographer would do.

Hot
Ammons Hall CSU Administration Building We have been hot here in Colorado, reaching 103 yesterday. It’s going to be cooler, somewhere around 95 today but Saturday will only reach 70 with a chance of rain. Below is an exert from my journal, a prayer if you will, from June 3 2108.
“It’s quiet here on my porch. Enjoyable. May I stay present, aware of all that’s around me. May I have calm and serenity. I do not like conflict in my life, whether that is internal or external. May I trust more and have courage to take actions in my life. Grateful for the quiet.”

Filled With Gratitude
A Look and Feel of Winter Not many photographs lately as the inspiration to frame and press the shutter button has not been there. I still see the scenes and look for them. This was taken back in early November near one of my coffee shops.
I’m now sitting in a coffee shop after a busy Saturday. It’s been a day to connect with both family and friends so not much solo time, a different experience for me. But, there is a contentment within me. This past week has been a time to reflect on my life. There have been no extraordinary moments or life changing events to talk about, just life as it happens. It has been a good year so I am filled with gratitude for the life I have. May this coming year bring joy, peace, good health into your life. Thanks for being a part of this blogging life.

Cloudless Blue Sky
Looking Up We find people stumbling through life while looking down at their smart phones and texting. So, while looking up and having morning coffee, I enjoyed seeing a cloudless blue sky. Glad I wasn’t texting. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.
