    Back up to speed

Moving Too Slow in Goleta, CA

If this speed sign is accurate then it’s telling me I’m not moving fast enough. In fact it tells how I’ve been moving over the past few days. There’s been a lot going on with all the moving, repairing some things in the condo, unpacking boxes, working and throwing in a couple days of flu. I’ve just not been shooting or even on the computer. Hopefully in a few more days and I’ll be getting back up to speed. 🙂 Once that happens my parents will be arriving for a few days so there could be another lull in posting. This image was taken with my iPhone. Hope everyone had a good Memorial Weekend!

    Not One to Loiter

    No Loitering

I’m not one to stay in one place too long, no grass growing under my feet. For one thing I find it uncomfortable to sit or stand too long as the aging back gets stiff and sore. But I do not describe myself as an antsy person either who is constantly tapping the table with a pencil, shaking my foot from side-to-side or bouncing my knee nervously. Yet, I am capable, and find it necessary, to be still and quiet where I enjoy my form of prayer and meditation.

This work I do as a flight attendant fits me. I’ve discovered I’m not a very good passenger. I would much rather be working the flight rather than sitting. And, during our overnights I need to get out and about. Outside my hotel room there is a world to experience and people to encounter. I need to meet these people and hear of their stories, their dreams, their pain. Something within me needs to “move it, move it” as they song goes in the movie Madagascar. I guess you can say I’m not one to loiter.

    Number 318

This was taken somewhere around my hotel in Alexandria, VA. I head for Denver today and sign the lease on my apartment and give them money. I will be moving a few things into the place but not planning on moving the bigger stuff until next week. I am looking forward to being closer to the airport and not have to commute for an hour and a half. Hope everyone has a good week.

    Hard at Work

Hard Working Dogs, Casa Grande, Arizona

So, what’s the perfect job for a dog? Well, I came across these to two guys in Casa Grande, Arizona. The city was having a street fair/market and the owner of these dogs was selling hats for dogs. So, as you can tell from the image the models are hard at work. Yeah, I know, I cropped poorly. 🙁

    Thirsty?

    Thirsty?

Our world of advertising sure knows how to entice and call our attention to their products. This image was taken as I walked out of my hotel for a walk. The delivery truck was parked in front so all I could see was the red color, which they say is a power color, and the sign. Since my camera just happened to be hanging around my neck I took this image.
