frothed milk and espresso
gift of latte art
With overcast and smokey skies this morning I headed to the Bean Cycle for a latte and journaling. My barista, Devan, made a very attractive mocha with her artistic touch. I like how she sprinkles chocolate powder about halfway through pouring the milk then finishes with her latte art. Again, I took this image with that old camera and I think the image turned out decent. But, the mocha tasted perfect. Happy Sunday!

The choice of camera matters a lot less than the quality of the latte. I’ve still not experienced an excellent latte, but that will be on the agenda next time I’m out your way. 😉

You make me laugh, Tom! Yah, the image is not as important as the mocha. There are several flavors of lattes to choose from. May have to try’em all. Looking forward to having you guys back out. Actually, I need to make a trip out your way.

Yesterday we passed a coffee shop named Brewed Awakenings. I found it clever.
Monte Stevens
Yes, clever indeed. Let me know what you experience if and when you stop in.

I’ve always wondered about these designs on the top. Does someone actually “draw” that in? (You can tell I don’t drink latte’s very much – and when I do, it is via drive-through and it has a lid 🙂 )

Their paint brush is the frothed milk, the foam. Here is a short video you can watch.

Thanks for the video. I appreciate the skill even more now.
