The End is Near

Black-Eyed Susans
Black-Eyed Susans

Walking to the coffee shop I needed to take this image as it depicts the end of the summer and the beginning of fall. The seasons are a changing. Been thinking about planting, or I guess they call it spreading, of some wildflower seeds along the boundary between the ponds and the lawn at my condos. It seems to be a simple enough procedure adding some flowers to brighten up the area around my condo. I’ll let you know.

Retired. Having fun with photography. Journal daily. Meditate daily. Learning haiku/poetry. Have a love for fountain pens.

We’re not as close to fall as you are, although today has been our first fall-like day. Low humidity and 80° feels wonderful for a change! We’ll be back in the 90s before we know it, but like you, fall’s not too far off!

It is another morning with a fall feel to it. Other than the scent of smoke from the fires it is a beautiful morning. Surprisingly we could see the mountains this morning, which has not been true lately. I am ready for fall to tell you the truth. Today is the first football game for CSU and all three high schools played their first games last night. More indications of fall. The trees in my parking lot are beginning to change colors, more leaves are making their journey just as the Canada Geese are beginning to fill the air.
I have a hawk with two young eyass that has been teaching them to fly for the past couple of weeks. It is quite interesting to watch and hear as her screeches directions to them. They soar, then dive. They attack one another. Amazing the speed they can attain as they dive.

Aren’t flowers just amazing though? Flowers are the one thing that make me wish I had poetic abilities because their wonder, at least for me, cannot be expressed fully with words arranged in the regular way. Doing it through photography does come a close second though, and you never fail to bring out their wonder Monte.

I also wish I had was a more poetic abilities because the beauty of nature that stirs within me. As I write that sentence I’m also away my belief there is the muse within all of us but is not always tapped.

Thank you for the comments on my flower images. You acquired 20 points this morning! 🙂
