The temperature this morning in Columbus was -1 degrees and 5:20 am and it is only suppose to reach 20 degrees today. That’s way too cold for this old guy who would much prefer a mocha latte next to a warm fire or maybe a tropical beach. Todays image of the King and Queen, is from a few years ago at a renaissance festival in Larkspur, Colorado. If you’ve never been to one of these events, your missing some wonderful photo opportunities. You will find smiling faces, people of all sizes and shapes and color, jesters, food, games, entertainment, gift shops, music. What amazed me the most was all the costumes. They were vibrant with colors and works of art themselves. Then when you wrap the costume around a vibrant smiling person we have a great photo. And, let me tell you, it was warmer than today!

For a brief moment, I thought this was another self portrait with you as the king! Lol, have a great weekend.

I wouldn’t mind standing in his shoes, holding her hand and wearing a big smile. And, I’ve always been a fan of mideival cleavage! 🙂

I think you woud be swell as that King, but I ‘m not so certain now that the lady could keep you in check. On the other hand, the fellow here seems to be eyeing the lady in pink. Men, what are we to do about you?
Very nice photo, as always. So much life and color to brighten our winter day.

And, ya can’t live without us. 🙂

Ah yes the times look grand in reenactment until you stop to think about most of the population lacking for proper food or hygiene. Not to mention wars, servitude and disease. Whoops, I didn’t mean to be a bummer. 🙂

You are so right. But, one thing you can always find at one these festivals is a huge turkey drumstick to gnaw on.
