Along the Colorado Front Range it is not uncommon to have storms develop in the afternoons and then move off the east. However, the severity of these storm over the past couple days has been amazing. Two evenings ago we had hail damage to several aircraft at Denver International Airport causing causing enough damage to ground several United and Frontier aircraft and canceling flights for several days. Last night was a repeat with heavy lightening and thunder to accompany the dark and ominous sky. On the morning after comes the refreshing smell that only rain can bring, along with raindrops still clinging to the grass and leaves. I like this sort of morning after.

It’s nice to see green again. Because of a drought we are experiencing, all the grass is burnt yellow. I could almost smell the rain.

I’ve seen where parts of the country are in a drought while others are flooding. Go figure. Have a great weekend!
