    This is a very striking image to accompany an equally striking photo.

    I read a quote this morning by Peter Turnley, who in addition to his photographs often uses his words to convey his views and those shared by many:

    “The world and history are very complex, and anyone who sees it through the prism of good guys and bad guys, particularly when it has to do with America and the Middle East, isn’t looking at it honestly with an open mind. Oh how I wish that the world could be led by people with a true sense of humanity, compassion, and love of life, guided by intricate knowledge of history, and a true belief that we are all brothers and sisters and members of one human family.”
