tired after a night of wrestling for sleep

I settled into silence, prayer, and meditation
ignoring the cold, I mounted my red steed for
an invigorating bicycle ride to the arboretum
then placed a latte made with love by Allie
on a tabernacle at an east facing window
with beams of sunlight enkindling blank pages
I sought words hidden within a favorite fountain pen

Beautiful words and photo. (sorry about the restless night; just a quick hello from a regular, but very quiet reader.)

Thanks for your kind words, Alex, they mean a lot to me and grateful you’re one of those quiet readers!

Very nice! I can relate – I haven’t slept well in weeks it seems. May the red steed continue to take you on many journeys! 🙂

I hate to admit it but it seems the restless sleep is tied to aging. And this red steed is making life enjoyable for me. I’m glad she is part of my stable. Another 12.1 miles today.
