When your life awakens and you begin to sense the destiny that brought you here, you endeavour to live a life that is generous and worthy of the blessing and invitation that is always calling you.

This image was taken last week at the Lory Student Center. I go there because it is quiet and I find it is a place for solitude, before students arrive. It is windy this morning, bad hair day for sure. Now it bugs coffee shop on the world. Emma is my barista. She is playing some soft easy Christmas music because she is in the Christmas spirit. I found out that two friends died in their sleep this past Friday night. One younger, one older. They both endeavored to live a generous and worthy life. Today will be a day of processing. Hope you have a wonderful Sunday!

We live in a neighborhood with many older residents, and the rate of ‘departures’ can sometimes be discouraging. We must all live our best lives and know that death is an unavoidable occurrence. Sympathies to you for your lost friends. ‘Processing’ is an appropriate term, I believe.

Thanks Tom. Some of the processing has been to journal and some has been through conversations with friends who knew them.

Indeed, we never know when our time will come, and the passing of these two friends will surely be deeply felt. However, passing away peacefully in one’s sleep after living a generous and worthy life doesn’t sound like a bad way to go. I hope to live a life that is just as worthy and ends peacefully.

In the depths of my soul that is my wish, to pass peacefully in my sleep after a generous and worthy life. Hoping you have a wonderful day!!!

I am sorry for your loss of two friends. The best way to celebrate their lives is to remember the good times, happy times. Leaving this world peacefully is certainly feels like a gift; not for those left behind, perhaps.

Thank you, Faye! Lance’s service is tomorrow here in town but Donna’s is in California. I would hope that I have a quiet and peaceful passing rather than halfway to suffer or to cause others to suffer.
