There is no mystery about how much I like this photo. It still surprises me when this happens, when a simple photograph of an innocuous and unexceptional scene makes me stop and hold my breath for a while as I take in the simplicity of shapes and lines and highlights and shadows coming together so harmoniously. Give me this over Sony’s or National Geographics’ photo of the year any day.
