It is not only the tool that makes a good photograph. It is the person behind it. – Norman J. Piluke
I have invested good money into my tools for photography and I hope to spend the rest of my life investing in the person behind those tools and every once in a while in front of those tools. Anyway, it’s Friday and another week has quickly come and gone. I’ve gotta quit blinking so much these weeks are blazing by.

Time does fly when you’re having fun. Nice one, Monte.
Monte Stevens
That’s right. This photography stuff can be fun.

What a great self-portrait, Monte. You are the master of these and this is a really great one!
Monte Stevens
Thanks, Paul, but not sure I’m a master at them. I guess it helps when you have a handsome guy for a model and he does pretty much what I want him to do. 🙂

Monte, a great photo of yourself and I really like the tinting you used. Have a good weekend!

Thanks, Earl. I used one of the presets in Topaz Adjust. Almost needed to as the yellow shirt had some blown highlights due to the darker background. And, we are having a very nice weekend. Hope you and Bonnie are enjoying yours as it looks like you have some relief with the humidity.

Sometimes I really wish I had a rewind button on those weeks Monte.

Now I like that idea, Mark.

I like self-portraits when they are done with context and this one is especially nice. I’ve never managed to do one like that which I was happy with but I’ll keep trying.
As for time flying by, I’ve been doing a lot of reading lately on the latest scientific theories concerning time and its relationship to space and energy and matter etc but none of it is helping me slow time down any. And apparently it’s not even meant to exist!
Thanks for sharing this photo Monte.

That’s the attitude, “but I’ll keep trying.” As photographers we do that all the “time.” Maybe, over “time,” you need to read more books or find the right one. 🙂 Thanks, Cedric!
