It is that time of year again. Kids are making decisions of what super hero or princess they want to be this Halloween. I’m wondering about pumpkin pies with mountains of whip cream. 🙂

You’re already a superhero and somehow I don’t think you’d make a very good princess, so pumpkin pie will have to do! :). It’s certainly one of the highlights of the season.
This past weekend a had a chance to try some – trust me, it was delicious – butternut and ginger cheesecake. With cinnamon whipped cream. An amazingly different take on fall, and one of the best ways I’ve ever had squash!
Nice pumpkin photo, by the way. Great light and color!

Now that sounds pretty darn good! I’m gonna have to google for that recipe. 🙂

I’m glad that you posted pumpkins instead of Christmas trees! I was in Walmart the other day and they’ve just skipped over Halloween and Thanksgiving and went right to Christmas! Well, not entirely true, you can still get Halloween decorations at the same time as you get your Christmas decorations. 🙂

I noticed that the other day at some store. All I could do was shake my head and get out of there. It’s all about marketing the product, getting in the consumers face. So, repulsive to me.

Forgot to mention that I’m not a big fan of pumpkin pie, I’m more a sweet potato pie kinda guy, but I will join in with the whipped cream! [said with a big smile and whipped cream mustache!]

I can do sweet potato pie easily. I was excited about the squash cheesecake mentioned on Earl or Toms blog. Now that sounds yummy, also, with or without the whip cream mustache.

Well, a milk mustache is an acceptable substitute. I checked the rules! 😉

Monte, I also think of handcarving jack-o-lanterns, preferably with a small child who thinks theres magic in it. But that pie sounds great too! 🙂

It is satisfying to see the look on a child’s face, which includes me, as the details of pumpkin carving starts to take shape. Then, we can have the pie.
