I find leaves are amazing but especially in the fall. Seems nature makes wonderful art with them. For this image I found the wind blowing so I had to compose and shoot fast before my composition changed. Every fall when I see the leaves fall I feel a bit of frustration and sadness that they are not able to continue their life cycle, as man has other ideas for their lives. I may have whined about this before. 😁 Anyway, I’m drawn to the details, shape, lines, texture and color of leaves in the fall. I know some people who see “leaf creatures” in images like this. I’ve searched but don’t see any here or lack the openness of a child’s mind to see them. However, our good friend and fellow photographer, Mark, does here, here, here and here.

For the past few years, I’ve found myself staring at the leaves on the ground more than in the trees. Your photos is a perfect example of why. I just enjoy these types of patterns. Thank you for the mentions.
I see a couple creatures in your pile. 🙂

I relate to staring at leaves on the ground. That seems to be the canvas I’m drawn to. Such beauty in leaves. My porch/patio is a haven for them, where the wind swirls them around constantly creating patterns. And, with that soft musical rustling sound. Loved your slideshow and music!

I love the texture in the leaves against the soft color. While I don’t see creatures, I find the rocks peeking through the openings humorous, like they are reminding us that they were there first. 😉

Totally missed the rocks. 😂 Guess I was too busy looking for creatures. Yet, subconsciously I knew they were there, hiding. And, yes they were there fisrt.

Love the golden hues and patterns. What trees are these from?

I’m not sure, to tell you the truth. Most of them are cottonwood leaves. We also have linden and elm trees here. We have 2- or 3 maple trees nearby but do not see them in this image.
