As the years of practice increase the patience to sit behind a tripod and watch the sun rise or set also increases. I attribute the increase to spending more time in nature; she is our teacher of patience.

Alas, patience still eludes me. I have hopes, though, that I’ll be able to gain the patience to wait for what I hope would be as beautiful an image as this one.

I patience I allude to in the post is not encountered as it could be. Again, the effort to be in nature is the key for me. I have always been a slow learner.

Lack of patience is a problem I have struggled with most of my life, but I’m much better now than years ago.

I tend to be a slow learner also, but like the others, my patience is getting better. Compared to many “normal” people, we photographers have patience in abundance when people learn how long we might sit waiting for a single moment.

I also agree many photographers do have more patience than most people. And, when we really stay present to what’s around us it seems to come naturally. Even this mornings outing I found a restlessness and may have missed an opportunity. But that is a lesson learned for me. Maybe tomorrow! 🙂 Thanks, Mark!
