Blue Skies
Blue Skies As I mentioned yesterday we woke to a nice rain shower and received about 3/4 of an inch. That’s pretty good for us. Around noon the sun popped out and the skies turned a beautiful shade of blue. With blue like that I had to head out east and find open space. The rain and wind sure cleared the sky so images were everywhere. It was a time to gave thanks for the rain. Now I have to wash the mud off the car. 🙂

Rainy Morning
Abandoned Building We awoke to a light rain this morning. Refreshing rain. If we could just have one morning a week where it would rain lightly in the morning for a couple of hours then bring out the sunshine for the remainder of the day. Now that would work for me. This image is one of the abandoned buildings at the Arapahoe Bend Nature area and is an HDR image composed of three images. A little too much but we must try different things.

At the Cemetery It was 50 degrees this morning at 6:00 and is now 73 at 8:30. It’s going to be a gorgeous day. Hope everyone has a wonderful Memorial Day.

Last Nights Sunset
Front Range Sunset Sunset at the Arapaho Bend Nature area. Taken while sitting on the ground and fighting mosquitoes. I lost. This is a composite of three images and processed with HDR Efex Pro then tweaked in Lightroom 4. It’s different.

A Smile On His Face
Sunset at Lake Loveland I spent some time just looking out across the lake last night, watching this fisherman catch a couple of small mouth bass and I took in the scene. He says he comes here and fishes this area only, about a 50 foot stretch. If the fishings good his wife understands when he comes home at sunrise with a smile on his face.

I can’t count how many mistakes I’ve made in life and also in my photography. Hopefully I will make many more as I continue this journey. Strange, in photography, I’ve never thought of my mistakes as requiring courage.
