And, I really like this majestic tree. Not sure how old but it probably could tell some wonderful stories. We do not see fog very often along the Front Range and most likely a lot less than you guys see out your way.
I really look forward to this time of year and the foggy mornings. We had one the other morning, but I was slogging my way to “work” – I would have much rather been moseying through the woods taking pictures. 🙂
It’s nice to visit old friends in different surroundings, as you’ve done here, Monte.
Fog — one more delight of fall/autumn. As well as simplifying things visually, as Tom referenced, it also seems to add a little sound deadening effect…can’t have too much quiet these days.

I love how fog simplifies the landscape. Without it there would be a lot of background busyness.
It’s great to have a favorite tree (or two) and follow it through the seasons.

That’s right, your schedule is different now. It is our friends that get me out for walks just as much as the need for the exercise.
