I love to watch geese in flight and I love to hear them loudly “honking” while flying. I also gained huge respect for Canadian Geese after I saw one on my father’s farm charge, with wings spread wide and honking wildly, forcing a 2,000lb bull which had gotten a bit too close to retreat.
I had one chase me when I was around 7. I climbed a fence fast enough to cause a hernia. I respect them and give them plenty of distance as they are all around my condo. They are not that frightened by a car either as I’ve seen them stand firm and take their time crossing a street.
