    The TWSBI Classic

    TWSBI Classic
    TWSBI Classic

This is my sisters TWSBI Classic with a fine nib. She is courageous enought to allow me to use and abuse it for a short period of time. So far I like the feel of it and I like the fine nib. It is very close in line size to my Pilot medium nibs. We have Waterman Serenity blue ink in it for now and that seems to work well with the pen.

    A New Fountain Pen

    The New Fountain Pen
    The New Fountain Pen

My new fountain pen is a white Pilot Prera with a medium nib and filled with Diamine Ochre ink. The ink is a nice milk chocolate color and I think works will with my cream colored pages in my Moleskin journal. Not that there are any special words in this pen but the desire to write more is there. Oh, and included in this image is a favorite of mine, a mocha latte, which matches the ink also.

    Walking With My Camera

Took my camera for a walk yesterday. All images taken with the Fujifilm 35mm f2.0 lens and handheld. Both images are 100%, or greater, crops.

“Every human being needs a contemplative practice, perhaps gazing at nature in wonder, with a camera or paint brush, taking time.”

    Fletcher

    Fletcher

Fletcher’s a 12 week old puppy. His beautiful color and curiosity were an instant attraction for me. He was alert to everything around him through both sight and sound. His ears were always perked in anticipation to the next new sound and the wonder it would offer. And, those eyes of curiosity were constantly scanning, wanting to know and understand this enticing new world. I wondered, was it the color, the shape or the movement that drew his attention?

    Simple Beads

    Simple Beads
    Simple Beads

“Go outside. Don’t tell anyone and don’t bring your phone. Start walking and keep walking until you no longer know the road like the palm of your hand, because we walk the same roads day in and day out, to the bus and back home and we cease to see. We walk in our sleep and teach our muscles to work without thinking and I dare you to walk where you have not yet walked and I dare you to notice. Don’t try to get anything out of it, because you won’t. Don’t try to make use of it, because you can’t. And that’s the point. Just walk, see, sit down if you like. And be. Just be, whatever you are with whatever you have, and realise that that is enough to be happy. There’s a whole world out there, right outside your window. You’d be a fool to miss it.”
