We are heading home today, back to the colder temperatures. I have enjoyed the family time except for all the food I was forced to eat. I have also enjoyed the wonderful weather they have here in Phoenix. Tomorrow will be my pre-op appointment, blood draws and more explanation on what to expect with the surgery on the 5th. Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving !

Windows on Campus
The heart catheterization procedure went well. The measurements of my right heart chamber was through my neck and the left chamber through my right wrist. Both places are sore and I have restricted movement of the arm, no more than 5 lbs for the next 5 days. There is no blockage, the heart is pumping as it should so I’m okay for the valve replacement surgery. I leave tomorrow for Thanksgiving in Phoenix with my family. Hope everyone enjoys the holiday and food.

Today I am having a procedure done called Left/Right Heart Catheterization. They will do this to make sure there are no other problems with my heart.

Rain and snow
Spent the day in Red Feather Lakes area yesterday. Helped a friend move some “stuff.” We stopped at the Potbelly Stove and ate on the way back into town. This was our view driving home about 3:00. It was a beautiful day. However, we now have a rain and snow mix that is to become 1-3 inches of snow. Such a change.

Is that a chocolate donut?
Had this fat squirrel approach me at the bus stop asking for a bite of the donut I was eating. Yeah, I gave them a bite. They would have taken more.

A Centerpiece
I met a friend for coffee yesterday morning and we had a surprise centerpiece on our table. Loved the way it looked and with the diffused light it made a good image. I shot this vertical and realized how seldom I do that. Hope everyone has a wonderful week. The coffee and conversation were just what was needed on a cold and snowy morning.

Good Morning….
… from a wintry looking Colorado. I was shocked when I awoke this morning. It was quiet, very quiet, always a sign we may have snow. Then in the distance I could faintly hear a snowplow along Prospect Road. My understanding of the forecast was for snow to start this evening and into Monday morning. It arrived much earlier than expected. I drove by Rowland Moore Park to get a few images of the snow. Looks like we have about 2 inches, a dry and fluffy snow. Probably a different look than Cedric, who is running the air-conditioner or heading the beach. I also hear a cold and frosty time for those along the east coast. Enjoy your Sunday!

Morning Frost
It was a brisk 18 degrees this morning and a nice frost on almost everything when I headed for the bus. One of the perks to using the bus is not having to scrap frost off my car. 🙂
