What a lovely rust color in those leaves, Monte. As I read the quote the word “bane” struck me as a word rarely used anymore but one that I like, not for its meaning but just for the sound of it, “It was the bane of me.” Sounds nobler somehow. 😉
Take care!

Bane = something that destroys or ruins us. Could be an appropriate word for our world today. And, yes it does sound nobler. Thanks, my friend!

Bane – I think of it’s use as in “the bane of our existence.” Good word that I had forgotten about!

So, we all agree, bane is a kool word to start using. 😁
