A Good Start

I was able to muster up enough strength to remove the covers and get out of bed in order to arrive before dawn to Pineridge Natural Area this morning. I wouldn’t say it was balmy out but 25 degrees was not too bad. Eastern skies offered a pinch of pink in the predawn light. It was quiet and calm, just me and a couple of hungry cottontails. It’s a good start to this day.

I received a call last night from a longtime friend’s wife letting me know he was in the hospital with Covid pneumonia, on oxygen and isolated. Their son-in-law is also in the hospital and is not doing well at all. 😢 I pray we all take the necessary precautions to be safe and keep others safe. Hope you have a wonderful Wednesday!

Lovely early sky. You were rewarded for braving the cold. It was 25 here this morning and the weather people are talking frozen precip for Sunday. I don’t have anywhere to be on Sunday so maybe I’ll get some winter pics.

Even if the sky wasn’t lovely I need to be there. Wow, I did not know you were that cold. So if you do go out for winter pics please bundle up and wear two pair of socks. Stay warm.

Glad to see that you were able to escape the blankets and get back out into nature. And a bonus that you were well rewarded.

We’ve been enjoying the warm weather in Florida and will be heading back north tomorrow, getting home just in time for a possible winter storm…fun! Within a matter of days I’ll have photographed both palm trees and snow!

Looks like a pretty good start to me. Mornings have been quite gray here for the past week, and the gravitational pull of the blankets is too overwhelming.

Hope all goes well with your friends.
