Doing the Work of the World

Dew covered grass at the meadow’s edge

Sometimes I wish I could photosynthesize so that just by being, just by shimmering at the meadow’s edge or floating lazily on a pond, I could be doing the work of the world while standing silent in the sun.

    Robin Wall Kimmerer

I’m not sure we can be doing the work of the world unless we know
we are a part of the world rather than apart from the world.

    love beyond my fear…

    A predawn self-portrait near Horsetooth Reservoir – 2012

    Wakan Tanka, Great Mystery,
    teach me how to trust
    my heart,
    my mind,
    my intuition,
    my inner knowing,
    the senses of my body,
    the blessings of my spirit.
Teach me to trust these things
so that I may enter my Sacred Space
    and love beyond my fear,
    and thus Walk in Balance
with the passing of each glorious Sun.
